Sandy White's Salad

Here is recipe for salad dressing.
1 1/2 C oil
3/4 C  white vinegar
3/4 C sugar
1  1/2 tea. Salt
1 tea. dry mustard
2 T. Grated onions
Mix all together in quart jar.  Makes about 3/4 full. Keeps well in fridge. 
Shake well, make sure sugar dissolved. 
I usually use red and Romaine lettuce.  You can add feta cheese, candied nuts, I usually use slivered almonds, green onions.  We really like pears in it.  You can apples.  Strawberries and raspberries  are also good.

Cafe Rio Cilantro Ranch Dressing Copycat Recipe

Prep Time 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 packet Hidden Valley Ranch mix TRADITIONAL not BUTTERMILK
  • 1 c. mayonnaise I prefer Best Foods
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 2 tomatillos remove husk, diced
  • 1/2 bunch cilantro fresh
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 lime juiced
  • 1 jalapeno we like it SPICY so we kept the seeds in it, if you like it mild, just remove the seeds

Instructions

  1. Add all the ingredients in to a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Serve as a dressing over salad or as a dip for veggies and chips.
